Gorgeous Blooms

The Camelias are blooming in North Carolina.  This one came from a bush in my daughter's backyard.

These orchids were gifts from my daughter's friends to celebrate her birthday.  They were so beautiful, I just had to share them with you.

And last but not least, one of my all-time favorites -- hydrangeas.  These are dried on the bush from last year, but there are tons of buds just waiting to burst open.  I can hardly wait!!

I love camelias, I so wish we had them up here. I dont’ think they grow in my zone as I’ve never seen them. I used to see them a lot when I lived in NC and visited friends in SC. These are gorgeous. I can’t wait to see my dear hydrangea friends--I love them so much. They are my fave and I want to plant some more this spring :)
It’s coming--slowly but surely.
Good to visit you Genny!!

Genny sounds like you are having a wonderful time there in North Carolina. Belated Happy Birthday to your beautiful daughter. The flowers are just gorgeous. Thinking of you from the snowy State of Maine!

I love hydrangeas, too! I have a few bushes of a very old fashioned variety that I got from my Aunt in Virginia several years ago. I think that, this year, I'm going to put that stuff on their roots that turns them blue. I want to make a serious effort to dry some and keep the color. My Aunt always said that blue was better for that.

I was just "blog surfing" and your blog came up and I love the flowers but also love your profile statement about your hair. I think "silver" hair is beautiful and was very sad when my beautiful mother dyed her hair once. Thankfully it was only once :) Thanks, Jackie

Beautiful Genny. I don't think camelias grow around here but I could be wrong. Hydrangea..I have four and I'm waiting impatiently for them to mature. : )
