It was SO cold today -- okay, not as cold as it was in, say, Vermont where it was only -6. Brrrr, that's cold! But it was colder here than it has been in the past few weeks. I stayed indoors and took a few photos. I'm still learning to use my new camera. Poor Mimi and Binks. I'm afraid they're going to be the subject of my photos for a while. Here a couple of I took of Mi while she was sunbathing.
Can you touch your nose with your tongue?
Good grief, woman. How about some privacy?
Here is Binks being sweet and asking to be fed. She's very affectionate when she wants fresh food. I love her sweet little bird sounds. She sings too!

The pictures are very nice. Of course they couldn't be bad with such beautiful subjects.
I bet if you listened real close to Bink she may be talking some. My siter's 'keets speak in very tiny sweet voices and if you listen you can here their words. Keets are actually very good speakers.
That really is a nice camera. Thanks for the pics.
Oh Ginny, they are so pretty. I love both of them. Mimi is a gorgeous cat and Binks--so pretty. Is he light blue?
Beautiful pets!! And -32F in Canuckistan yesterday. :)
Wouldn't that be so cool if you came home one day and Binks was speaking English to you? I used to have parakeets when I was a kid, I used to read to them every day. I read them Black Beauty and National Velvet and all sorts of other books that young girls like to read.

ME: I'm going to have to listen to Binks more closely now to see if she is "talking." We had parakeets that talked when I was a child. That's what prompted me to get her. I love her.
Amy: Binks is a beautiful sky blue girl. She's not hand tame. I've tried but she's too skittish. That's okay with me. I just enjoy listening to her and her little parakeet noises. She LOVES her toys and is very creative with them.
Knatolee: -32F!! That's Arctic weather! It's been cold here but nowhere near those temps.
Lynn: I would be thrilled if Binks started talking to me in English! I sing to her and mimic her sounds to her, and she really likes it. It's so comforting to me to hear her.
