Done!

I'm finally finsihed with this painting.  I'm planning to give it to a friend as a birthday gift since it's a photo of him taken in Charlottesville.  I hope he likes it.  I'm not a portrait artist so the face is just a hint of details.  I do like the way this turned out.

I have to travel again next week for work, but at least I'm going to a fun place.  The seminar we're going to is in Las Vegas!  I've never been there, but I hear they have penny slots.  That's my pace for gambling - - yeah!  I figure I play a long time on $100 by playing pennies.  Who knows maybe I'll even win and come out ahead?

The weather here in northern Virginia has been icky, hot and humid.  We had a very short thunderstorm today that cooled things down.  I know it's going to be hot in the desert (not looking forward to the heat), and I'm hoping that by the time I get back on Friday that the temps will have cooled down some here.  Thanks for reading my blog!!  Everybody stay safe and well!

Hi thanks for visiting today, I kept remembering Pepe le Pew too when I was writing the post and see I can't spell it so I left that part out. Have fun in Las Vegas. At least it won't be humid, but it will be hot.
You will be on my side of the world. :)
Your painting is wonderful! Very nice and peaceful.
So very nice meeting you Genny,

Farm Girl: Thank you for visiting my blog. Vegas was fun but VERY HOT! That's a cool weather trip for sure.

Jayne, Andrea, and Julie: Thank you for your kind messages about my painting. I had a good time doing it but having a wonderful photograph to look at really helped. The man in the photo is my daughter's father-in-law who is such a nice person. I hope he likes it!

Genny - the painting is gorgeous! I wish I could paint like that! I'm sure he will cherish the painting - did he know you were doing it?

Did you play the penny slots in Vegas?

Lynn: No, Ike has no idea that I've painted it. He'll be surprised. He such a kind person and has been wonderful to my daughter. I'll give it to him in November when I see him in Charlottesville. I played the penny slots and won and then lost what I won, so that was it for me. I'm such a high roller!
